Little Laina at 9 days old

Newborn Photography – Langley BC

Last week I had the H family visit, to captures a few fresh moments with their newest addition.  Meet Laina, a precious 6lb’er who couldn’t wait to make her appearance into the world!  This little girl was scheduled to be delivered by c-section, but she decided to come all on her own 2 days before.  Guess she just couldn’t wait.:-)

Have I mentioned how much I love baby feet?  They’re just so cute with those itty bitty toes.  Laina’s were no exception, and I adore her little feet in the photo below:

Seriously, how adorable is this little girl?  Her little smile totally warms my heart.

Thank you H family for coming to see me.  Congratulations again!

Baby Wyetta’s newborn session!

Newborn Photography – Vancouver BC

Last Thursday I had a visit from Baby Wyetta.  What a gorgeous little girl!  Her mom, dad and I had a great time chatting all morning, while she slept soundly as I posed and photographed her.  A few of my favorite images from this session below:

Thank you G family for coming to see me.  Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl!

Adysen is Pretty in Pink

Newborn Photography – Langley, BC

I always love the opportunity to photograph a family as they change over time.  A family session last fall, K’s maternity photos a few weeks ago, and then last Tuesday, her newest addition arrived.  Here she is at just one day old, already smiling at me. :-)

That brings us to Monday, when I shot Adysen’s official newborn session.

Now I hear Adysen has been a great little sleeper thus far.  Of course she insisted on proving otherwise on the day of her session; she decided to be wide awake much longer than we expected.  Newborns, always keeping us on our toes!  With a little persistence from her momma, Adysen was eventually coaxed to sleep.  The rest of the session was smooth sailing, I guess all that being awake tuckered her out!

Posted below are a few of my favorites from the session.  I hope you like these as much as I do K!

Squished up little face, j’adore! <3

You know that phrase “Slept Like a Baby”?  This is how I imagine it looks:

Congratulations W family on your newest addition!

2-day-old Newborn Keara – Sweet with a touch of Wild

Newborn Photography – Surrey BC

On Thursday night, Keara was brought into the world in a wonderful homebirth to M (whose maternity photos I shot a couple weeks ago).  A few hours after her birth, M and I got on the phone and it was the best conversation I have had in a long time.  I’m telling you, nothing beats a mother who has just given birth and is gushing with post-labour euphoria!

Two days later, the P family arrives on my doorstep, with little Keara ready for her very first professional photography session.  I have to say, I’m feeling pretty lucky to be the photographer chosen for this.  She slept like an angel through the whole session, and I got some fabulous shots.  I just know mom & dad are going to be thrilled with this collection of photos.  In the meantime, I’d like to share with you a couple of my favorites, because I know M is going crazy waiting to see them;)

How could anyone resist these perfect little fingers?

This beautiful knit blanket was made by Keara’s Great Grandmother.  I love timeless pieces like this!

All curled up, so precious and sweet…

…but hey, we all have a little bit of a wild side too!

Congratulations P family!  Best wishes on your new adventure as a family of 4!

I love the 4th shot.. what a beautiful little girl.

One day old and already smiling!

This little girl was born on Tuesday to a very proud momma!  Last night I went up to the hospital to meet her.  Even at just a day old, she is already giving me smiles.  I don’t know about you but I think that’s a good sign for this newborn photographer!

We haven’t had our official newborn session yet, but we will be doing so in just a few days, and I cannot wait.  Until then here is a special early preview of the newest child for the W family.

Little girl showing off her lungs.  At least we know she’ll be able to get mommy & daddy’s attention when she wants it:)
